Barb is one of the ESL teachers at Literacy of Northern New York. She is a retired teacher from the Watertown City School District, where she taught both elementary and special education. Working with ESL students in her classes sparked her interest in volunteering then working with Literacy of Northern New York after retirement.
Barb and her husband, David, have three daughters, two granddaughters, and a dog named Sugar. When she is not enjoying time with her family, Barb loves hiking, walking, snowshoeing, reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors surrounded by nature.
Become a Volunteer Tutor
Our tutors and teachers become volunteers because they believe in helping our learner achieve their goals.
🎀 Newsletters
Our learners work hard. They meet with a tutor or attend one of our classes. They also achieve personal goals. We are so proud of them!
