Fort Drum
ESL Classes are temporarily closed due to the government shutdown.

Did you know that English classes at Fort Drum are now offered three days a week? These fun and friendly ESL classes are open to soldiers and their family members who want to feel more comfortable using English. The beginner class meets from 9:00 to 11:00, and the intermediate class meets from 11:00 to 1:00 on Tuesdays, Wednesday, sand Thursdays. Students spend time reading, writing, speaking, and listening in English. Class members often work in pairs or small groups to practice real conversations and build confidence using English in everyday life. Many students enjoy the chance to make new friends, meet people from different places, and play games that make learning English both enjoyable and useful.

serve Watertown and residents of Jefferson County.

The learners in the Fort Drum classes are primarily military spouses, but soldiers who were born in other countries also attend. Fort Drum learners are welcome to attend classes in Watertown.

Both locations offer Intermediate and Beginner classes.
